Athletic director awarded conference honorAbbott named SAC Athletic Director of the year
Athletic Director Jim Abbott has been named the Sooner Athletic Conference athletic director of the year.
Abbott is the conference's nominee for 2008-09 NAIA athletic director of the year. Abbott earned this award for the second year in a row. OCU recently took the SAC Cup for athletic excellence within the conference for the ninth time in 10 years.

An OCU graduate student has been selected to receive an Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants' Educational Foundation scholarship for the 2009- 2010 school year. Women's golf team wins fifth consecutive championship
Senior Sydney Cox captured the NAIA individual women's golf championship, while Senior Ashley Sholer took runner-up honors as OCU finished with its fifth consecutive team championship May 15, at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Rapid City S.D.
